Designing #mLearning for people with #disabilities or learning difficulties
Last week I got a mail from Jenni Wright from Australia. She is a trainer and she was looking for solutions that could help her optimize the already wonderful vocational courses that her company the BedfordGroup in Australia is setting up for adult learners. The challenge was that the learning environment should be secure for the Intellectual Property content portion, yet at the same time dynamic as a MOOC AND - a tough one - if possible cater to people with learning challenges, whether it be disabilities or learning difficulties of any kind. A disseminação da aprendizagem com mobilidade (M-learning)
Resumo: Este artigo revisa a literatura de aprendizagem com mobilidade (m-learning) e de modelos de aceitação e adoção de tecnologia com o objetivo de identificar a situação atual acerca dos estudos sobre a adoção do m-learning, almejando propor um modelo para avaliar a intenção de uso do m-learning no contexto brasileiro. O artigo aprofunda a compreensão da literatura acerca das teorias e fatores relacionados à adoção do m-learning. Ao modelo proposto, adaptado do Modelo de Aceitação de Tecnologia (TAM), foram introduzidos dois construtos, compatibilidade e autoeficácia, com o intuito de melhor avaliar a intenção de uso dessa tecnologia.

Abstract: This paper reviews the present m-learning and technology acceptance literature in order to portrait the current state of mobile learning (m-learning) research. This work ultimately aims propose an extended model to evaluate users’ intentions to accept m-learning in the Brazilian higher education context. The paper offers an in-depth evaluation of the literature reviewed, related to the theories and factors impacting upon m-learning adoption. The proposed model, an extension of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), introduces two constructs, compatibility and self-efficacy, with the goal to better assess users’ intentions regarding the adoption of the evaluated technology.

The ‘Multi-Generational’ workforce and m-learning
Social Media, New media and e-Networking, whatever we want to call it, has certainly changed more than the way we work, the way we share and consume knowledge and even complain. The context in which we work is faster and faster, and result can almost happen in real time around the world.
Well they have come up with yet another gadgetry word, wait for it… The workforce of the 21st century is now being referred to as the ‘Multi-Generational Workforce’ because it consist of a mixture of baby boomer’s and generation Y. Read more here ...
